The Velana Sabar is designed for users who want the most adjustable powered chair in the Velana range — particularly those who value seat height adjustment for transfers and table access, and carers who need a chair that can be switched to freewheel and pushed by hand. The left or right controller mounting may assist users with limited function on one side.

What's in the Box

Folding and Transport
To fold: remove the seat cushion, fold both armrests back, fold the backrest forward onto the seat, then hold the seat adjustment release and lower the frame to its lowest point. To unfold, lift the limiter under the seat, select your seat height, refit the cushion and you're ready to go.
Please note the lithium battery is classified as dangerous goods for air travel. Check with your airline before flying, as separate approval and packaging requirements apply.
Care Instructions
- Store indoors in a dry, ventilated place away from direct sunlight and moisture
- Do not rinse or hose the chair — wipe down with a damp cloth only
- Recharge after each use; if stored unused, charge every two months to around 80%
- Use only the supplied charger and genuine replacement batteries
- Check the seat belt, tyres and electrical connections before each use
Safe Use
- Not for use on stairs or escalators
- For use on concrete, asphalt and indoor floor surfaces only — not sand, loose soil or rough terrain
- Do not use on slopes steeper than 8°, or on wet, icy or oily slopes
- Not suitable for use in heavy rain, snow or ice
- Turn the power off before transferring on or off the chair
- New users should practise with a carer present until confident
Important Information
The manufacturer advises this wheelchair is contraindicated for people with paraplegia below the chest, osteoporosis or osteogenesis imperfecta. Users with visual or intellectual disability, or a neck condition that prevents them observing the area behind them, should have the chair operated by an attendant.
