How do I fold and unfold the Glide?
The Glide folds and unfolds manually. To unfold, lift the push handle while pressing down on the front of the seat until fully open, then lock the safety buckles on both sides of the frame and fit the anti-tip rear wheels before use. To fold, release the safety buckles, raise the armrests, and bring the backrest and seat together. Full step-by-step instructions are in the user manual.
Is the 2-battery Glide a different wheelchair?
No. Both options are the same Velana Glide (B-10). The 2-battery option includes a second 12Ah battery so you always have a charged spare on hand. The chair uses one battery at a time — you swap to the second when the first runs low, extending total range from approximately 24 km to 48 km.
I ordered the 2-battery option but only one battery arrived with the wheelchair — is something missing?
No — this is normal. Lithium battery freight rules mean we cannot ship two batteries with the wheelchair in one consignment, so your second battery is sent separately and may arrive a day or two apart. If it has not arrived within a week of the wheelchair, please contact us and we will chase the tracking for you.
Can the Glide be pushed manually?
Yes. The Glide offers electric (joystick-controlled) and manual push operation. Switching the motor clutches to manual mode allows a carer or attendant to push the wheelchair when powered movement is not suitable or the battery is flat.
